They cost about $99-$199 depending upon which online access subscription you purchase. I was fortunate enough that I won one through the Mamavation online wellness sorority. I fell in love immediately. It became a game to me just to get my Gruve to turn green haha. Seriously, I would jog in place just to make it change colors! Also, if I was sedentary for longer than my minimum allowed time, it would vibrate and let me know.
I would find myself purposely doing more activity just to see how fast I could get my Gruve to turn green!

I don't have any brilliant tips. I would just suggest taking your time. You didn't put the weight on overnight and it won't come back off that way. Take babysteps so that good habits become just that, habits.

Oh MAN! My computer messed up my first entry. Here's my wellness tip : play to your weaknesses. For me, I'm lazy by nature. When I first started dealing with my eating problems, I knew I had to exploit my laziness! I put my purse is the trunk of the car, all the time. This stopped me from going through drive-through, and ordering take-out once I got home! (I live on a third-floor walk-up)
It worked until I broke the habit. Now I don't even think about it anymore! I think if everyone looked at their faults and turned them into a benefit, their health goals might be easier to solve :)

My new tip is. Watch what you eat. Track it, make smart choices, change what doesn't work. I now eat a banana for/with breakfast because it is such a high resistant starch item. Keeps me satisfied longer.

My favorite fit tip is to flavor you water so it doesn't get boring. I use fresh mint leaves from my garden, cucumber slices, various citrus wedges, etc. So no added sugar, just a hint of flavor and hydration is less of a chore.

my tip is to find some type of exercise you enjoy. it makes it more fun. i also start off on the treadmill @ 5 mins and then i increase my a minute or two as i hit 5 mins, then i increase again when i near end. i don't feel stressed that way.

My tip is to start slow - don't think you have to run 5 miles the first day. If you can only do 5 minutes on the treadmill - that is where you start. Each day slowly increase your activity. Soon you will be amazed and proud of yourself.

Wellness tip:
Cut fat out of sneaky places. Go down in milk.. i.e. use 2%? Then use 1%. Don't butter your rolls and muffins. Use applesauce when baking instead of oil. Try using whipped anything... butter, cream cheese, frosting - the added air means less fat.
